Terms and Conditions
Starting Service
To start service, there is a 4-week initial minimum plus a one-time set-up fee required for all new customers (waived with the purchase of a New Customer Package). This payment is due at the time of your diaper consult. The first 4-weeks of service and set-up fee are both non-refundable. Precious Bottoms requires credit card information to be provided for all accounts in the instance that our pail liner or diapers become damaged, lost, or stolen while in your possession. We also offer automatic payment in which your credit card on file will be charged.
Diaper Service Registry
All registries are “open registries” meaning the registry is open until the customer has decided to close the registry. Precious Bottoms will not give full refunds or cash refunds for any unused dollar amounts remaining on a registry. If diaper service is cancelled and there is a dollar amount remaining on the customers registry account, the customer will receive registry credit valued at 50% of the remaining registry amount (i.e. if there is $50.00 remaining on the registry, the registry credit will be valued at $25.00). The customer must call Precious Bottoms to use their store credit. The customer has 14 days after cancellation of service to claim the registry credit. Any registry credit not used within 14 days after cancellation of service will be forfeited. Registry credit can only be used towards limited items. The customer may gift their registry credit to a friend or family member or use the remaining balance on any combination of the following goods: prefold cloth diapers, Snappi Fasteners, Thirsties covers, PlanetWise Wet/Dry bags or Morgan Botanicals Sweet Cheeks Balm. The selection available may vary based upon inventory in stock at that time. Special orders will not be placed for specific sizes or prints when registry credit is used. All diaper service product must be returned before credit is issued.
Account Status and Payment Terms
After the initial 4 weeks, customers will be billed in 4-week increments. Invoices will be provided one week prior to the start of the next 4-week cycle. Payment is due by the due date on the invoice. If payment is not received in full by the due date, a $5.00 late fee will be listed on your next invoice. If payment has not been received within 7 days after the due date on the invoice, service will terminate until the full payment plus late fee has been received. Automatic billing is offered in a minimum of 4 week increments. The customer may also pre-pay in the following weekly amounts to qualify for discounted pricing:
WEEKLY SERVICE FEE: $21. Each additional child $15.
PAY 13 WEEKS UPFRONT: $20 per week
PAY 26 WEEKS UPFRONT: $19.50 per week
PAY 52 WEEKS UPFRONT: $19 per week
Payments are accepted in the form of cash, credit, or check made out to “Precious Bottoms Diaper Service.”
There is a $35.00 returned check fee for all bounced checks received by Precious Bottoms.
Termination of Service and Refunds
Customers may cancel at any time after the initial 4-week contract. At least a 7-day written cancellation notice is required for termination of service. No refunds will be provided on services already rendered. When a customer cancels in the middle of a paid period, a prorated amount will be calculated, minus a $10.00 fee for any additional pick-ups needed to collect all Precious Bottoms inventory from a customer’s house. The prorated amount will consist solely of full weeks of unused service. Customers who cancel after the weekly delivery will be charged for that week. Upon termination of service, customers have 1 week to arrange the return of all rented diapers and pail liner(s). Failure to do so will result in replacement charges for all missing items. The replacement charge for unreturned diapers is $3.00 each and $20.00 for pail liners. After reasonable effort has been made to recover all rented diapers and pail liner(s), the credit card provided at the beginning of service will be charged for the dollar amount of any unreturned and/or damaged items.
If diaper service is cancelled and there is a dollar amount remaining on the customer’s account, the customer will receive a refund in the form of store credit valued at 50% of the remaining account balance (i.e. if there is $50.00 remaining on the account, the credit will be valued at $25.00). The customer must call Precious Bottoms to use their store credit. The customer has 28 days after cancellation of service to use their store credit. Store credit can only be used towards limited items. The customer may gift their store credit to a friend or family member or use the remaining balance on any combination of the following goods: prefold cloth diapers, Snappi Fasteners, Thirsties covers, PlanetWise Wet/Dry bags or Morgan Botanicals Sweet Cheeks Balm. Special orders will not be placed for specific sizes or prints when registry credit is used. All diaper service product must be returned before credit is issued.
Precious Bottoms reserves the right to terminate this service agreement at any time.

Typical number of diapers per week:
Newborn: 60-90
Infant: 40-80
Toddler: 20-55

Customers will receive one week’s supply of pre-fold service quality diapers, delivered in a waterproof pail liner. Fresh, clean cloth diapers will be delivered each week to replace the number of soiled diapers left for pick-up. Because of the size of our service we require our customers to write the amount of clean diapers remaining in their possession before setting out their dirty diaper bag for pick up on Sunday. A paper tag next to your name tag will be provided each week for you to write the amount of clean diapers currently in your possession. For each week that a diaper count is not provided on your tag, you will be charged a service fee of $5.00. If you are going on vacation and a family member or friend is setting out the dirty bag for you, please ensure the diaper count is still provided to Precious Bottoms. The clean diaper count allows Precious Bottoms to better determine how many diapers you will need the following week.
As your child grows and is ready for a larger diaper, all current diapers must be returned in order to receive a full supply of the larger size. A $3.00 per diaper charge will be added to your next invoice for any unreturned diapers. It is the customer’s responsibility for all Precious Bottoms inventory that comes with weekly service. Regardless of how a diaper might be damaged or stolen, the fee of $3.00 per diaper and $20 per pail liner is the customer’s responsibility to cover unless the theft/damaged occurred while in the possession of Precious Bottoms. It is the customer’s responsibility to let Precious Bottoms Staff know when they are ready for a larger diaper size. If the customer needs more diapers per week it is also their responsibility to let Precious Bottoms Staff know. The customer must notify Precious Bottoms by Saturday at 7pm of any changes needed to their weekly delivery (i.e. change in diaper size or amount). Please contact 760-500-7928 with any weekly changes to your account including but not limited to change in size, change in diaper amount and vacation notices.
Vacation
If you are leaving on vacation, please contact us, at 760-500-7928, at least one week in advance to discuss the available options. If you wish to suspend service while you are gone, you must notify Precious Bottoms a minimum of two service weeks prior to your departure in order to receive credit for vacation weeks. At the time of notice, we will make arrangements to pick up all dirty diapers before you leave so they do not sit while you are gone.
We encourage all of our customers to take our diapers with them while they are traveling. Please let us know if you are planning to travel with our diapers and we can make arrangements to get extra diapers or bags to you.
Proper Diaper Use
Precious Bottoms rental diapers are to be used on baby’s bottom only. Customers using diapers for anything other than on a baby’s bottom (i.e. as cleaning rags or spit up rags) will be assessed a fee for any diaper that needs to be removed from service. Price per diaper if found damaged (other than normal wear and tear) is $3.00 each. Please do not put disposable wipes in the wet bag. If disposable wipes are found in the wet bag you will be charged $5.00 per week that disposable wipes are found in your bag.
Certain medications or diaper creams can cause untreatable stains that ruin rented diapers (e.g., Fish oil, Zinc Oxide, Desitin). Please notify us if your child’s doctor has prescribed any medications or diaper rash creams. Visit our website for recommended diaper creams.
Do not store soiled diapers in direct sunlight or in the heat (e.g., outside, in a garage during the summer, in a bathroom or laundry room). This will cause unpleasant things to grow and may damage the diapers. We suggest storing the diapers in the nursery. With your weekly service you will be provided with a waterproof liner. Our pail liners fit perfectly in The Original Diaper Pail that we carry in our boutique. Our pails will also fit in standard tall kitchen pails with swivel lids. Please talk to our staff if you have any questions about pails. There is no need to rinse soiled diapers. In fact, this can cause mold or mildew. Please shake off soiled diapers when possible, although not required, to help mitigate lingering odors and help prevent some staining from occurring on the diaper (again, not required, but appreciated). Please do not store diapers in plastic bags. This can cause mold and mildew. When setting your bag out for pick up, please try to avoid leaving it in direct sunlight. We understand that because of how some houses and apartments are set up this isn’t always an option.
Delivery
Precious Bottoms makes every effort to conserve resources while also meeting customers’ needs. On your delivery day, please place your pail liner full of soiled diapers in an easily accessible place out of direct sunlight when possible.
Missed Deliveries: We understand that being a parent is busy work and things are sometimes forgotten. However, deliveries only occur in your town one day a week. It is imperative that you have your diapers out for pick-up when we arrive. We offer an email reminder for all customers to remind them to set out their dirty diapers. This service is offered upon request only. Please tell us when you set up service if you would like an email reminder. We forgive the 1st missed delivery as an “Oops!” Every subsequent missed delivery will result in a $5.00 charge. We will make every effort to deliver your diapers at the assigned time, but we ask that you please be patient for any unexpected weather or traffic delays. Notices will be provided regarding changes in delivery schedule so that we get your diapers to you safely and on time.
Delivery Times:
North County San Diego: Deliveries will take place between 9am and 12pm every Sunday. If you are in this area please have your bag outside by 8:30am.
South County San Diego: Deliveries will take place between 12pm and 6pm every Sunday. If you are in this area please have your bag outside by 11:30am.
Active Military Discount:
For all active duty military we offer a 10% discount on service and products. *This discount cannot be combined with any other discounted package or product.
Lost and Found
Please keep all personal items out of the pail liners. Precious Bottoms Diaper Service is not responsible for any items inadvertently placed in the soiled diaper bag. Please call us to report any missing items. We will gladly return found items on your next scheduled delivery date.
Referring a New Customer
For every new customer that you refer to us that signs up for at least 4 weeks of service, you will receive 2 weeks free. This is our gift to you for spreading the word about Precious Bottoms Diaper Service.
Customer Satisfaction and Limitations
Precious Bottoms strives to meet the satisfaction of all of our customers. We welcome all comments and questions and will attempt to remedy any situations brought to our attention. Precious Bottoms reserves the right to determine refunds not explained in this agreement on a case-by-case basis. All diapers are cleaned by a professional linen service to ensure ultimate cleanliness and the best possible product for your child(ren). Precious Bottoms welcomes and encourages any inquiries about our washing process, including the products used. We also encourage open communication about your child’s allergies. However, Precious Bottoms cannot be held liable for adverse reactions that may occur as a result of using our products.
